RSI is an Indianapolis based company that has been manufacturing and distributing agricultural based products (ABP) for deicing and anti-icing roadways, walkways and parking surfaces for the past four years. These liquid and granular "environmentally friendly" and "green products" for deicing and anti-icing make winter roadways safer for motorists throughout the Midwest United States.
Road Solutions, Inc. serves the needs of both state and local governments, institutions, industry, commercial and non-commercial entities. Our full service program includes: cost analysis, equipment review, and training for your staff. Our employees work on site for stockpile treatments and to adjust prewetters and direct spray equipment when needed. We also work with the private sector of snow control. These include: landscapers, contractors, and other private sector snow removal companies.
History of Organic Deicers
In 1996, a new technology emerged in the marketplace for winter maintenance professionals. Agriculture based liquid deicers were touted as being the answer to all of the negative aspects of the currently used de-icing products. With the passing nearly twelve years since Agricultural By Products were introduced, an explosion of technology and advances has lead to several products being developed specifically for the de-icing market.
Early on, the ABP's that were offered to the maintenance professionals were derived from the processing of corn for either ethanol or alcohol. These corn-based products had their share of trials and tribulations. Nevertheless the corn-based de-icers started an explosion of these types of products that have evolved and they set the table for what is available today.
